The wider storm
September started with D2-D3 drought conditions (severe to extreme) across the counties listed. Although some beneficial rainfall fell from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee during the first week of the month, it was not enough to make a significant impact, and D2-D3 drought conditions persisted through the end of the month and into October.
