Hail the size of quarters fell in the 400 block of High Street.
Wider weather episode
Energy associated with the approach of an upper storm system arrived during the peak heating of the day. This combined with plenty of low level moisture across the region helped to generate numerous showers and storms. Some of these storms reached severe levels and produced damaging winds and large hail.
