Total snowfall in Cloudcroft was 6.5 inches and 6.0 inches was reported 2 miles southwest of Cloudcroft.

Wider weather episode

A strong cutoff low moved across extreme Southern New Mexico and into the Texas Panhandle bringing heavy snows to portions of the Gila and Sacramento Mountains.
