The maximum snowfall reported was 6.2 inches in Sunspot. Cloudcroft received 5.5 inches for the event.

Wider weather episode

A deep upper low moved through Eastern Arizona and then across the New Mexico/Mexico border. A strong back door cold front moved across the region providing good upslope conditions over the Sacramento Mountains where over 6 inches of snow was reported.
