Dust storm conditions reduced visibility to zero along Highway 95 near the Eldorado Dry Lake Bed. Approximately 14,000 customers lost power after high winds damaged equipment near Jean.

Wider weather episode

A very strong cold front brought high winds to much of the Mojave Desert and southern Great Basin. Isolated heavy snow also fell in the mountains.
