Strong north to northeast winds were reported across the Santa Monica mountains. The Malibu Hills RAWS sensor reported wind gusts to 63 MPH.
Wider weather episode
Strong surface high pressure over the Great Basin generated another round of strong Santa Ana winds across Southern California. The strongest winds occurred in the mountains and valleys of Ventura and Los Angeles counties with wind gusts as high as 70 MPH reported.
