A trained weather spotter in the community of Northridge reported northerly wind gusts to 65 MPH.
The wider storm
Strong surface high pressure over the Great Basin generated another round of strong Santa Ana winds across Southern California. The strongest winds occurred in the mountains and valleys of Ventura and Los Angeles counties with wind gusts as high as 70 MPH reported.
