With the exception of extreme Northeast Luna County, the entire zone was in Severe(D2) drought during the entire month. The Deming Airport reported 0.48 inches of precipitation during the month which was 0.02 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Little to no change was experienced in drought conditions across Southwest and South-Central New Mexico during the month. Exceptional drought conditions remained over Southeast Otero County.
