NWAC stations recorded heavy snow as follows: Mt Baker, 12 inches in 12 hours ending 6 pm Feb 24, 19 inches in 24 hours ending 3 am Feb 25, and 28 inches during warning period; Stevens Pass Hwy, 18 inches in 24 hours ending 1 pm Feb 25 and 20 inches during warning period.

Wider weather episode

A strong front, along with moist westerly flow and a Puget Sound Convergence Zone behind the front, brought heavy snow to the Cascades.
