What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

Several modular homes were damaged as a brief tornado touched down off of FM 2657, on Sleepy Hollow Lane and Carroll Drive, just inside the Lampasas County line. Homes sustained roof and deck damage and a few were blown slightly off their foundations. Trees and fences were also torn down. One minor injury was reported when a woman was hit by flying debris. Eighteen residents were displaced. The tornado continued into Coryell County.

The wider storm

An upper level low lingered in the area for several days. An unstable atmosphere helped kick off several rounds of showers and storms. Boundaries helped focus rainfall totals over the same areas....leading to flash flooding.

Began near Kempner (31.0883, -97.9766).
