Heavy rainfall of approximately 1.25 inches on the 12th caused a rock slide and debris to fall on the Parks Highway in the Nenana River Canyon at MP 239.5 late on the evening of the 12th into the early morning hours of the 13th. Additional rock slides were reported during the day on the 14th. Delays were experienced in the area, but the Highway remained open as crews removed the rocks and debris from the road. This followed on the heels of a rock slide in the same area due to heavy rainfall the previous week.
