The Nevada Appeal newspaper reported that strong wind gusts brought down tree limbs in Carson City. One downed tree limb on Fifth Street knocked out power to 900 residents, including the Carson City Courthouse and Sheriff's Department.

Wider weather episode

A late-season cold front moved through the Sierra and western Nevada on June 5th. Strong winds accompanied the front and caused damage mainly in western Nevada.
