A 17-year-old boy drowned after getting caught in a rip current near Pier Village in Long Branch (Monmouth County) during the evening of May 27th. The boy's sister and an adult were also caught in the same rip current, but were rescued. His body was recovered on Saturday afternoon, June 2nd in nearly the same beach location in Long Branch.
