Event narrative

An eight by 12 foot window was blown out in the Riverside Casino, injuring eight people. Power was also knocked out to residential neighborhoods on the north side of town.

Monsoon moisture began to return from the southeast, fueling strong thunderstorms over the eastern Mojave Desert. Several storms produced severe weather and/or flash flooding.
