A weather spotter reported .70 inches of heavy rainfall in 15 minutes near Deming, NM. Minor street flooding was reported in the city of Deming during this time period.

Wider weather episode

A deep southerly flow of monsoon moisture remained over the region. The presence of an inverted upper trough led to the development of slow moving storms that produced locally heavy rainfall resulting in minor flooding.
