Spotter measured 59 mph wind gust in Ocracoke.

Strong low pressure developed off the southeast United States coast on November 20th. This low then slowly lifted north to the North Carolina coast on Wednesday November 22nd. The storm system produced heavy rain of 4 to 8 inches, very strong winds of 40 to 60 mph, and significant coastal flooding across eastern North Carolina as it approached the region. Fresh water flooding and river flooding occurred across all of eastern North Carolina, however no property damage was reported.
