Nebraska Game and Parks Commission stated a 36 year old man drowned at 707 pm MST at Lake McConaughy. The man was paddling a raft when it capsized during a thunderstorm.

A scattered line of thunderstorms produced large hail along an eastward moving cold front across the eastern half of north central Nebraska and a small portion of west central Nebraska.
