Heat indices in northern Kentucky exceeded 101 Fahrenheit on June 28, 109 on June 29, and 99 on June 30.

A very warm airmass moved into the region during late June. This airmass brought a prolonged period of above normal temperatures, record heat, and dangerous heat indices to much of southwestern Ohio, southeastern Indiana, and northern Kentucky.
