Event narrative

Tennis ball size hail was observed. Several large limbs were also reported down. Hundreds of homes and vehicles sustained damage from the hail.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved through the area during the afternoon and early evening hours of the 8th. Numerous severe thunderstorms developed ahead and along this cold front. Severe weather occurred throughout most counties in the area stretching from Lucas County to Mahoning County.
