Law enforcement personnel reported thunderstorms produced quarter-size hail 4 miles west of Elizabethon near Central.

Wider weather episode

A weak boundary across the region triggered scattered thunderstorms over the area during the afternoon hours. The storms developed mainly over the higher elevation. A few of the storms produced hail as large as a quarter.
