Penny to quarter sized hail was reported on Interstate 15 between mile markers 230 and 235.

Wider weather episode

The deep monsoonal moisture that moved into Utah at the end of August remained in place for the beginning of September. This moist airmass produced widespread showers and thunderstorms, with several of them becoming severe or producing flash floods.
