A strong cold front crossed the eastern Great Lakes bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms to the region. The thunderstorm wind gusts were measured to 43 knots at Youngstown, 40 knots at Rochester, 41 knots at Oswego and 35 knots at Irondequoit Bay.
