A wind gust of 34 knots was measured at an automated Weatherflow station on Upper Matecumbe Key.
Wider weather episode
Clusters of showers and thunderstorms produced scattered gale-force wind gusts as they moved toward the northeast through the Florida Keys. The thunderstorms were enhanced by a surface trough extending from the U.S. east coast through the southeast Gulf of Mexico.
