Heavy Snow in Lower Snake River Plain, Idaho

Snowfall in the Lower Snake River Plain on the evening of the 25th only measured 2 to 4 inches but the road problems it created caused one fatality. On the morning of the 26th, a Chubbuck man age 62 lost control of his pickup truck on Highway 39 near American Falls and slid into the opposite lane and was hit by an oncoming semi truck. Two accidents occurred on interstate 15 near Pocatello between midnight and 5 am on the 26th as well.

Six to 12 inches of snow fell in the Upper Snake River Plain and Upper Snake River Highlands the morning of October 25th. Snow also fell the evening of the 25th in the Lower Snake River Plain causing a fatal traffic accident the morning of the 26th. Multiple accidents occurred on interstate 15 near Pocatello also on the morning of the 26th.
