Heavy rain caused the Alsea River near Tidewater to overflow its banks, causing flooding to the surrounding area. The Alsea River crested at 18.9 feet on January 19th at 11 pm PST, 0.9 feet above flood stage.

A strong warm front lifted north across the region accompanied by heavy rain on Sunday. Widespread heavy rain continued to impact the Pacific Northwest Monday and Monday night as the strong and very moist front stalled over the area.
