Strong winds developed along the west coast of Alaska between a 1053 high over the Arctic and low pressure in the Gulf of Alaska. A gust of 60 kt (69 mph) was recorded at the Golovin AWOS during the morning of the 24th, while a gust of 61 kt (70 mph) was recorded at the Point Hope AWOS.
