Strong northeasterly winds were reported across the Santa Monica mountains. The sensor at Laguna Peak reported wind gusts between 68 and 76 MPH.
Wider weather episode
Strong surface high pressure over the Great Basin generated another round of strong and gusty Santa Ana winds across the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Northeasterly wind gusts as high as 76 MPH were reported.
