Event narrative
A slow moving occluded front approached the Pribilof Islands which resulted in widespread blizzard conditions across both St Paul and St George Island.
The peak of this event on St Paul Island had 1/4SM visibility with winds gusting to 44 MPH. The peak on St George Islands was 1/4SM visibility with winds gusting to 41 MPH. No damage or injuries were reported.
Wider weather episode
A large low pressure system moved along the Aleutian Islands with an occluded front ahead of it. As this front moved across the eastern Bering Sea and the southwest Alaska coast it produced blizzard conditions across that coast as well as over the Pribilof Islands.
