Southwest winds were sustained between 40 and 50 mph with gusts around 65 mph.
Wider weather episode
An area of low pressure moved from southern Nevada across northern Arizona bringing strong southwest winds to southeast Arizona. While the winds did not bring any major damage, they did generate areas of blowing dust that led to motor vehicle accidents.
