Local news reported trees and power lines down on cars and homes in a mobile home park near East 3rd St. and East E St.

With a shortwave moving across the area overnight, elevated instability allowed for several thunderstorms to develop over the Washington Basin area. Some would become severe that morning. As the day progressed, the East Slopes of the Cascades area would become more unstable and thunderstorms would develop and migrate over the Yakima and Kittitas Valley's.
