The Powerhouse Fire burned 30,274 acres of land across the Antelope Valley and mountains of Los Angeles county. The fire, which started on May 30th, was driven by the combination of very dry fuels and gusty onshore (southwesterly) winds. The fire was eventually declared contained on June 12th.
