Event narrative

A funnel cloud was observed about 2 miles WNW of the Portland International airport. The observer estimated that it extended 200 to 300 feet below the cloud base. The funnel cloud lasted approximately 5 minutes.

A cool trough of low pressure produced a funnel cloud over the Columbia River.
