Hail fell along Highway 2 and St Andrews Road. Some wheat crop damage was reported, but the extent of the damage was unknown.
Wider weather episode
A negatively tilted shortwave trough of lower pressure interacted with ample amounts of mid-level instability to produce scattered thunderstorms across north-central Washington. A few of these thunderstorms became severe with large hail reported as the storms tracked northward across the area.
