WeatherFlow sensor at Alligator River Bridge reported a 44 knot marine wind gust.

A cold front approached eastern North Carolina during the afternoon and evening of June 13th. The atmosphere was very unstable ahead of the front and a line of thunderstorms moved across the region during the evening with some producing strong marine wind gusts.
