A series of storms fueled by extratropical moisture, most often called the Pineapple Express, moved over northwest Oregon November 2-7. These storms dropped copious amounts of rainfall over the area, especially in areas of higher elevation. A new 24 hour rainfall record for the state of Oregon was set on Nov 6 with 14.30 inches at Lees Camp in the Coast Range of northwest Oregon.
