A Port Charlotte resident reported a 50 foot wide waterspout briefly touching down near South Gulf Cove in Port Charlotte.

Deep moisture and easterly flow supported afternoon sea breeze thunderstorms over the western half of Florida. One of these storms produced a brief waterspout in Port Charlotte, and several storms caused marine thunderstorm wind gusts.
