A mesonet station at 3 SSW Cape Coral (XTRP) recorded a 34 knot/40 MPH thunderstorm wind gust.

Deep moisture and easterly flow supported afternoon sea breeze thunderstorms over the western half of Florida. One of these storms produced a brief waterspout in Port Charlotte, and several storms caused marine thunderstorm wind gusts.
