A severe thunderstorm downed trees near Palermo.

A very hot and humid air mass remained entrenched across the forecast area on the 20th of July. An approaching cold front set the stage for more severe thunderstorms across the region. Once again elevated freezing levels inhibited development of large hail and all reports of severe weather involved wind damage.
