Event narrative

A twenty nine year old developmentally disabled man died in a hot SUV outside of his home on July 25th. According to the Arlington police department, a group of people living at a group home were driven to an off-site location for the day, then returned to the home. For unknown reasons, the man was not dropped off and remained in the vehicle. The Tarrant County medical examiner determined hyperthermia to be the cause of death.

Above normal temperatures were common in July across north Texas. On the afternoon of July 25th, a developmentally disabled man was left in a SUV near his home. The man died later that evening.
