A six day heat impacted Southeast Michigan July 14th through the 19th with high temperatures ranging from the upper 80s to mid 90s. Heat Indices were in the 90s for the most part, but Detroit Metro area hospitals reported an increase of 173 heat related illnesses during this stretch.
