Strong low pressure over southwest Alaska moved northeast over the interior and its associated weather front moved east across the Alaska Range bringing high winds during the early morning of the 28th, as reported at:

Zone 223: The U.S Army mesonet station named North Test Track; highest gust 63 kt (72 mph).

Zone 226: The U.S Army mesonet station named Texas Range with the highest gust 74 kt (85 mph); and at the mesonet station named Texas Condo with the highest gust 73 kt (84 mph).
