The Page Airport set a new high temperature of 104 for the day. This broke the old record of 99 last set in 2010. Page is at an elevation of 4310 feet above sea level.
Wider weather episode
A strong ridge of high pressure developed over California and Arizona for several days. This brought very hot conditions to northern Arizona with many locations breaking daily high temperature records.
