A thunderstorm moved west across the Gulf Waters and over South Padre Island. A marine thunderstorm gust of 36 knots was reported by the KSPL AWOS.

With abundant tropical moisture in place, deep flow from the east, and Ingrid in the western Gulf of Mexico, scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developed and moved across the Lower Texas Coastal Waters. Some of this activity produced gale force gusts.
