A brief waterspout was reported by Riverhead Law Enforcement just southeast of Jamesport over Peconic Bay.

The wider storm

The sea breeze combined with a very moist atmosphere triggered an isolated thunderstorm over the eastern end of Long Island, resulting in a waterspout.

Began near Mattituck Inlet (40.9358, -72.5465).
