Rainfall in excess of one and a third inches was reported within about a 30 minute period. Only minor flooding was reported.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms moved across northwest Colorado on the afternoon of July 6th, producing very heavy rainfall. Numerous reports of over an inch of rainfall were received from the Steamboat Springs area.
