Event narrative

One person died in a three-vehicle accident in DeKalb County on January 22nd. The accident happened on County Road 427 at County Road 50 around 10:15 a.m. According to an Indiana State Police spokesperson, a Dekalb County plow truck slid into a semi causing the semi to jackknife. The semi then went into the other lane hitting and killing the driver of a pick-up truck. County Road 427 was closed for more than five hours. Light snow was falling at the time with roads snow covered and slick.
