Buoy 41004 measured a wind gust of 35 knots.

A warm and very moist environment was present over the southeastern United States ahead of a cold front to the west. Strong low level winds with 0-6km shear between 50-60 knots as well as PWATS near 1.8 inches and MLCAPE between 500-600 J/kg supported a few severe thunderstorms within the warm sector ahead of the cold front before it swept offshore by early afternoon.
