Strong and gusty north to northeast winds developed across the Santa Monica Mountains. At Laguna Peak, sustained winds between 40 and 52 MPH were reported with gusts between 60 and 82 MPH. Strong winds were also reported at Malibu Hills with wind gusts between 59 and 64 MPH.

Wider weather episode

Surface high pressure, building across the Great Basin, brought another round of gusty Santa Ana winds to Southern California. Across the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles counties, north to northeast winds gusted as high as 82 MPH.
