Heavy rain was likely a factor in an accident on Interstate 20, about 7 miles east of Lincoln. The driver of a pick-up truck died (indirect), and his passenger was injured (indirect), when the vehicle lost control during a heavy downpour, crossed in the median, and struck the back end of a tractor-trailer in the opposite travel lane.
