Wider weather episode

An area of low pressure over the southeastern states on the morning of the 29th moved rapidly north-northeastward to Nova Scotia by the morning of the 30th. The low brought abundant moisture northward and produced 6 to 14 inches of snow across the interior and foothill sections of western Maine. Along the coast, warmer temperatures caused the precipitation to change to rain.
